People & Culture

The people are the point

Our greatest asset can be found on this page: a select team of experienced professionals from across Germany and other European countries, each of whom is a true expert in their field and each of whom helps shape this company, rather than simply working within it. Everything Pulse & Patterns sells is designed and produced by these people, which is why, for us, corporate culture is not some abstract concept written down and put up on the wall. Our culture is shaped by each and every one of us, reshaped every time someone new joins, and based on values we have agreed upon together as a team.

Pulse & Patterns is a Germany-based ServiceNow and Anthropic Claude consulting and implementation partner.

The company we are building

The kind of company we are building

Pulse & Patterns is a Germany-based ServiceNow and Anthropic Claude consulting and implementation partner, founded in 2025, working with mid-market and upper mid-market organizations in Germany and across Europe. We build commercial, customer and project operations on ServiceNow, and Claude-enabled ways of working around them. We are deliberately selective and deliberately senior. Everyone here is a true expert in their field, contributes to the company’s development beyond the scope of their job description, and shows exceptional enthusiasm for their work.

We are building this company together, and that is meant literally. Processes get written by the people who need them. Practices get named by whoever proves they work. Structures change when they stop serving the work. Anyone can argue for a better way and get a decision the same week, rather than a place in a queue.

That is not a stage we are waiting to grow out of. It is the arrangement we want.

Our values, and the behavior behind them

Four values, and the four behaviors that make them real

Pulse & Patterns was founded to bring human and business values together. Our values are not a slogan but a commitment the team made and agreed together, so each of the four is linked to a behavior we consider fundamental. We defined them in one of our team workshops: we sat down, described what matters most to us, and wrote down the behaviors we expect from one another every day.

Focus

A clear direction, with a mindset oriented to solutions and results rather than noise.

Non-negotiable
Clear is kind

We say the actual thing. Ideas and feedback get shared openly and respectfully, because vagueness is not politeness. It just moves the problem later.

Team spirit

We grow together, and we accept each other's strengths and weaknesses instead of pretending nobody has any.

Non-negotiable
Reliability

What is agreed gets done. Everyone here has their place for a reason, and the team can plan around and rely on each other blindly.

Freedom

Room to try new things, to innovate by doing, and to be wrong on the way to being right.

Non-negotiable
Responsibility

Freedom and ownership are the same thing seen from two sides. We give real responsibility and we expect people to take it.

Respect

Being mindful of yourself as well as your colleagues, and accepting that people are different. We look for different personalities so that we can complement each other better.

Non-negotiable
Appreciation

For what people do, and for who they are. Recognition isn't saved for a review cycle. Here it is specific and said out loud.

Why it matters most

Responsibility is the one we are strictest about.

It is what makes a team like ours work. People here own a discipline, a client relationship or a part of how the company operates, and they own it end to end.

What each person owns
01
The decision
02
The delivery
03
The consequence

We don't spend long on the problem.
Everyone acts on their own judgment and focuses on bringing a solution to the table.

How we hire

The cultural fit is a formal interview stage, not just a feeling

Our hiring process has four stages: an HR interview, a technical interview with a practical task or case study, a conversation with the founders, and finally a cultural fit interview with the people you would work with. The cultural fit stage is a real assessment with its own questions, and your future colleagues have a strong voice in our hiring decisions.

  1. 01
    HR interview
  2. 02
    Technical interview
  3. 03
    Meet the Founders
  4. 04
    Cultural fit

It explores how you work when a situation is ambiguous, how you handle pace, how you prefer to communicate and be communicated with, and what you expect from a company at this stage of its life. You also meet the people you would actually be working alongside. Making the right hiring decisions matters, so we choose carefully who joins, and we look for proof that each person shares our values and wants to commit to them long-term.

We care more about attitude, curiosity and motivation than a perfect match on paper. Skills can be learned, and most of the specialties in this team were built rather than recruited. What we cannot train is the appetite to work on something unfinished, the values you carry, and the attitude to thrive in a fast-growing and truly challenging environment.

How we actually work

How we actually work

Remote-first

We work remote-first across Germany and other European countries, and our clients are mainly in the DACH region. Colleagues have free access to flexible coworking space, whenever an office is useful or we gather somewhere as a team.

Offsites

The whole team meets in person at regular offsites, in a different location each time. Each one mixes strategy sessions and development workshops with the part that actually builds a team: team activities, and enough unstructured time for the conversations that never happen in a video call.

Onboarding

New joiners get a structured first month with an onboarding buddy. The first 30 days are full of challenges: meeting your colleagues, learning how the company started, getting familiar with our AI tools, and proposing one improvement to a process you have just met for the first time. New people see things the rest of us have stopped noticing, and we want to hear it.

What the team is actually like

Experts who are still curious, and who like each other

Team members enjoy spending time together, and our offsites are a highlight for all of us. Onboarding feels natural: from day one, you work on challenging tasks in close collaboration with the team, so you feel at home in no time. Everyone can simply be themselves. There are no big egos, and we work together as equals, built on mutual respect.

Expert, direct and openly enthusiastic. Everyone here has a deep specialty, and nobody stops at its edges. People bring ideas to problems that were not assigned to them, argue about a design in real detail, and enjoy the discussions.

Expertise here is held by people who do the work.

Architects architect. The practice leads build. Nobody has moved far enough up to stop touching a platform, and nobody wants to. That is also why the specialties in this team keep widening: a consultant who wants a new discipline develops it, rather than waiting for a resourcing decision.

In their words

What I love about Pulse & Patterns is that my work isn't defined by a static job description, and nobody put me in a box I only half fit into. I get to wear several hats across departments, bring in my true strengths and learn something new almost every day. That kind of freedom only exists when you're given real trust, and that's exactly what I get here.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is it like working at a specialist ServiceNow partner rather than a large consultancy?

The main difference is proximity. You work in a select team of experts, side by side with the founders, close to the client and close to the consequences of every decision. Hierarchy does not slow us down, so internal decisions are made fast when they are needed. There is more room to shape how work gets done, and specialties develop faster because nobody is waiting on a resourcing decision to work on something new.

Do consultants get to use AI themselves, or only implement it for clients?

Both. Every consultant works with the same AI tooling we design for clients, including a curated company knowledge base mounted into Claude Cowork, and learning it is part of your onboarding and your journey here.

Where is the team based, and do you work remotely?

Our team works remotely across Germany and other European countries, and our clients are mainly in the DACH region. Colleagues have access to flexible coworking space when they need a change from home office. The whole team meets in person at regular team offsites across Europe.

Do I need ServiceNow experience to join?

Not always. We weigh attitude, curiosity and motivation more heavily than a perfect match on paper, and several specialties in this team were built here rather than recruited. What is much harder to work around is a preference for well-defined environments, because most of what we do is still being defined.

What should I expect from onboarding?

More access and fewer policies to read. You get a named onboarding buddy, a structured first month, and a set of first-30-days challenges that push you to meet colleagues in other countries and propose one process improvement. You will be given real responsibility from day one.

Are you hiring?

Open roles are listed on our careers page, and we welcome open applications when nothing listed fits. We are interested in hearing what you want to make happen here, as part of Pulse & Patterns.
