ServiceNow and AI consulting, done the way it should be
A career with us is different. From day one, you’ll be given 100% trust and responsibility. How your career unfolds with us is entirely up to you.
Pulse & Patterns is a Germany-based ServiceNow and Anthropic Claude consulting and implementation partner. Here you work on what a client actually needs, not on project volume.
You will use the AI that we develop for our clients in your own day-to-day work, alongside colleagues from across Europe who work remotely and share one common goal.
Why build your career at Pulse & Patterns
At Pulse & Patterns you do consulting differently, with a select team of experts, in an environment built on freedom and trust. You work on the outcome a client actually needs, not on how many projects we close this quarter.
Ownership from day one.
Senior people around you, not above you. Direct access to clients and decision makers, with no account layer between you and the work. Many of our processes are written by the people who run them, and yours can be one of them.
Trust and honest appreciation.
We know that people become the best version of themselves when they have the space to do their work on their own terms and are valued for what they do. That is why showing appreciation matters so much to us, and why we welcome people who genuinely want to shape their future here.
Flat hierarchies, side by side with the founders.
We act quickly, keep things simple and make decisions when they matter. You grow quickly as your responsibilities grow, because everyone here has a genuine say in important decisions and takes both the credit and the responsibility that come with them.
Work measured by value, not volume.
Nobody here pushes you to deliver fast and move on. We value quality. You have the time to ask what your client actually needs.
AI is part of how you work, not only what you deliver.
We work on two platforms: ServiceNow runs the workflows and governance, and Claude brings the intelligence. You use the same AI in your own work, to research a topic, prepare a workshop or find what the team already knows. We build and run AI agents in our own operations as well as for clients. So when you advise a client on AI, you know from your own work where it adds value and where a simpler answer is better.
Professional and personal development.
Customer Service Management, Field Service Management, Sales and Order Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, and AI on ServiceNow and Claude. Several specialties in this team were built here. Every team member has an individual learning and development budget to explore new topics in depth.
Variety rather than routine.
Everyone here wears several hats and no two days are the same. A lot is still changing, and a lot still needs to be built. You will play an active part in shaping what Pulse & Patterns becomes next.
Remote-first, and together at our offsites.
Our colleagues work remotely most of the time and have free access to coworking spaces. The whole team meets in person at regular offsites, which we organize ourselves, in a different location in Europe each time. We build together in strategy sessions, grow together in development workshops, and have fun together through team activities and casual evenings.
If you are an entrepreneur at heart, enjoy taking on responsibility and working across different teams, and want to build something of your own with people who are driven to succeed and enjoy their time together, let's talk.
What I love about Pulse & Patterns is that my work isn't defined by a static job description, and nobody put me in a box I only half fit into. I get to wear several hats across departments, bring in my true strengths and learn something new almost every day. That kind of freedom only exists when you're given real trust, and that's exactly what I get here.
At Pulse & Patterns, I have the space to actually bring my ideas to life and help shape how we grow. We’re not playing catch-up with the latest developments in the consulting and ServiceNow worlds, we are leading the way.
Here we support each other and share a passion for what we do. There’s an entrepreneurial spirit here that encourages new ideas. Everyone has a voice, and everyone’s opinion matters. I feel respected, valued, and trusted to make a difference.
Open roles
Not the right role for you?
Send us an open application. Tell us which of the role families below is closest to you, and what you would want to work on here.
The roles we hire for
Five role families cover almost everything we recruit. The requirements below are the real ones, taken from the descriptions we actually use, so you can judge your own fit before spending time on an application.
Hands-on implementation across Customer Service Management, Field Service Management and Sales and Order Management. Configuration and development with Flow Designer, REST integrations, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, single sign-on and MID Server. Turning a requirement into a process that works in production.
At least two years with ServiceNow, Salesforce or comparable CRM. Solid technical web skills. German and English. CSA required; CAD and CIS desirable.
The technical point of contact on an engagement. Technical onboarding, process and configuration analysis, solution design, and hands-on build across CSM, FSM and SOM. Increasingly, designing where AI and automation belong in a client's workflows.
At least five years of hands-on ServiceNow delivery, with the depth to own technical decisions on your own. German and English. CSA required; CAD and CIS desirable.
The bridge role, and the hardest one to hire. Process modeling, requirements engineering and client workshops, plus hands-on platform work across CRM and Strategic Portfolio Management. You design the process and then you build it.
At least two years in process or platform consulting, and genuine comfort on both sides: a workshop with a business owner and a configuration in the platform. German and English.
Platform strategy, technical architecture, integration boundaries and governance. The questions that are expensive to get wrong: what the system of record is, where a boundary sits, whether a design still holds in three years. Includes standards, quality assurance, mentoring and supporting pre-sales.
At least five years of enterprise solution or platform experience, with relevant ServiceNow certifications (CTA, CSA, CAD or CIS). Experience designing scalable architectures, leading technical delivery, and setting standards across complex enterprise environments. Excellent English; German is a strong plus.
Finance operations, HR operations, internal process, sales research and preparation, and marketing support. The foundations that let our team move quickly. We run this as a part-time working student role as well as a permanent one.
Structured, analytical and independent. For working student roles, 15 to 20 hours a week alongside a business, entrepreneurship or business informatics degree.
On certifications.
For technical consultant roles the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator is a real requirement, not a preference, because you will be building from your first engagement. Certified Application Developer and Certified Implementation Specialist certifications carry weight beyond that.
On experience.
The years matter less than whether you can work when the answer is not written down yet. If you are close on experience but clearly right on everything else, apply and tell us why.
What our interview process actually tests
Four stages. We have written down what each one is for, because going into an interview without knowing what is being assessed is unfair.
HR interview
The practical one. Why you are looking, anything in your CV you want to explain, salary expectations, notice period, languages, work authorization, and where you want to work from.
Technical interview
This one is not focused only on your CV. We focus on real problems and how you can solve them. For technical roles that means a practical task or case study, some system design, or reviewing code. For consulting, marketing and sales roles it means a case or a real problem from our own work. If you use AI tools in your day-to-day work, we want to know how, and that is a plus rather than a concern.
Meet the Founders
Vision, strategy and where you would take real responsibility. Whether you understand the market we work in and what you would want to change here. This is also your chance to interrogate the company's direction with the people setting it. We take references around this stage.
Meet the Team
Cultural fit, with the people you would work with. Run by your future colleagues, because they have a strong voice in our hiring decisions too. It covers how you work, how you handle ambiguity and pace, how you prefer to communicate, and how you like to shape the way a team works. It is a two-way conversation: you are assessing us as much as we are assessing you.
We will tell you where you stand after each stage, including when the answer is no.
If a role is open apply against it directly. Send your CV and a short note on why you want this role to ic@pulsepatterns.com.
Excited to meet us, but none of our listed roles is right for you? Send an open application. Tell us which of the role families above is closest, and what you would want to make happen here. A motivated mindset counts for more with us than a perfect match on paper, and we keep open applications on file for exactly the moment a role opens.
If someone here referred you say so and name them.
What happens next. Your application is read by a person, not filtered by software. If there is a fit we will arrange the first conversation. If there is not, we will tell you, rather than leaving you to work it out from silence.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need ServiceNow certifications to apply?
No, not for every role. Certifications are a big plus, and depending on the role they can be a critical requirement. For technical consultant roles the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required, because you will be building from your first engagement. Certified Application Developer and Certified Implementation Specialist certifications strengthen an application further. For business operations roles no ServiceNow certification is needed.
What is it like working at a specialist ServiceNow partner rather than a large consultancy?
The main difference is proximity. You work in a select team of experts, side by side with the founders, close to the client and close to the consequences of every decision. Hierarchy does not slow us down, so internal decisions are made fast when they are needed. There is more room to shape how work gets done, and specialties develop faster because nobody is waiting on a resourcing decision to work on something new.
Can I work remotely, and where can I be based?
Yes. Our team works remotely across Germany and the rest of Europe, and we care more about what you deliver than where you sit. Most roles are advertised remote-first within Germany, with some open to elsewhere in Europe. Each role listing states its own location terms, because the answer depends on the role and the contract.
Which markets do you focus on, and do I need to speak German?
Our clients are mainly in the DACH region. That is why German, or experience working with DACH clients, matters more to us than where in Europe you are based. Most roles need both German and English, and each role listing states its language requirements.
Do consultants get to use AI themselves, or only implement it for clients?
Both. Every consultant works with the same AI tooling we design for clients, including a curated company knowledge base mounted into Claude Cowork, and learning it is part of your onboarding and your journey here.
What happens in a technical interview, and how should I prepare for the technical test or case study?
At this stage, we focus on practical experience using real-world examples. That is why we have developed a case study for each role, which gives you a good idea of the challenges you would face if you joined the team. This is an excellent opportunity for us to assess your practical professional experience, and for you to get a sense of what it's like to collaborate with the people you'll be working with most closely.
What happens in a cultural fit interview, and how should I prepare?
It assesses how you work rather than what you know: ambiguity, pace, communication style, and how you like to shape the way work gets done. It is run by the people you would actually work with. No preparation is needed beyond honesty, because the point is to find out whether the environment suits you as much as the reverse.
Is an open application worth sending when no role is listed?
Yes, and more so than at a larger company. We hire in small bursts, so when a role opens we start with the people who have already told us they are interested. An open application that names the role family and explains what you want to do here is the fastest route in.
Do you hire people without ServiceNow experience?
Sometimes. Several specialties in this team were built here rather than recruited, and we weigh attitude, curiosity and motivation heavily. The people who do best here enjoy helping define how work gets done, rather than following a finished playbook.
Who reads my application?
A person, every time. Applications are read by our team and reviewed with the relevant practice lead. We do not use automated screening to reject applications.
Help build what comes next
We are looking for people who want to bring their energy, knowledge and creativity, and who would rather shape a company than join a finished one. Whether or not something is open today, we would like to hear from you and look forward to getting to know you!
